Remodeling Your Chicago North Shore Bathroom When Money is No Object

Chicago North Shore Bathroom RemodelYou would think that planning a Chicago North Shore bathroom remodel would be easier when money is no object. In fact, it can be even more challenging because it's hard to know when enough is enough. Even so, a final bathroom remodel should follow the same basic tenets as a remodel on a budget: the end result should be stylish, cohesive and reflect the lifestyle of its owners.

Keeping that in mind, we also recommend that you go hog wild, enjoying all the bells-and-whistles that luxury can provide.

Ideas for a Budget-Free Chicago North Shore Bathroom Remodel

The following are a list of must-haves for a luxurious North Shore bathroom remodel that bring elements of a relaxing day spa right into your home.

Space, space & more space. Typically, the hardest part of our job is incorporating everything clients want in the allotted bathroom space. When money isn't an object, we have more freedom opening up the existing bathroom and moving exterior walls to accommodate high-end upgrades and features. That means you'll have room for your deep soak tub as well as a spacious steam shower with optimal faucet and sprayer options. Your vanity will have as much storage as you need and we'll make sure you have a separate makeup area where you can sit comfortably while preparing for your day or an elegant night out.

Start with heated floors. Radiant floors are one of the greatest inventions of the modern era (in fact, ancient Romans enjoyed heated floors as well, but that technology went by the wayside for a couple thousand years...). Once the heated floors are installed, your bathroom will be warm and welcoming year-round, and you'll never get a single goose bump from bare feet on cold tile floors.

Natural stone floors and countertops. Marble is one of the most luxurious stones on the market and it works well in bathroom spaces. It adds a regal and elegant look anywhere it is installed. We recommend using stone tiles all the way up to the ceiling behind your shower and bath installations. If you choose to use it on the countertops, make sure it's sealed to protect it from etching and staining. Granite and travertine are also beautiful bathroom applications.

Double vanity with plenty of storage. When possible, every bathroom should have a his-and-hers vanity with plenty of room for storage. If you like a more modern and clean aesthetic, use a floating vanity with sleek flat door-style, recessed cabinets on a separate wall for additional storage. Otherwise, opt for a custom-built vanity with towers to make sure everyone has room to store his and hers toiletries with plenty of room to spare.

Luxury mirrors. When you design a luxury bathroom, you want to come in and stay a while. We're fans of the new luxury mirrors that embed television screens right into the mirrors so you can enjoy a movie or your favorite shows while getting ready in the morning or while soaking in your steamy tub.
